  1. Personally i would have given up on Day-3, tats why i never even finish a BB kit.

Mate, as for "expensive" modeling paint... think of it as your effort & time (& not to mention the price of PG) is worth to invest a bit more for the right material to gain maximun effect! If use correctly, a bottle of paint does last a long time, Just my 2 cents!

(gladly lend you my compressor if you dont have 1)

ah, but you did and are still doing your wonderful 1/6 tank, so you still have determination there.

can't argue with you there, the paint, thinner, ab and compressor combined adds up to quite a bit, so I decided to go for the convenience of spray can paint.

Am also able to spray a few colours at one time, which is another time saving benefit. My next project is PG RX-78, and I expect that to take less than two weeks, as I have snap fitted it already, and won't be spraying the internal skeleton.

Thirdly, I would like to avoid spraying in the house, even with a spray booth as the fumes are not that good for my pregnant wife.

Have used this paint three years back and the kits haven't disintegrated so I'm fine with the effect, though it is quite thick.

Thanks for the offer of the compressor, it is very kind of you!
