Celtic FC Nike 07/08 Home Kit

This shirt commemorates the 40th anniversary of Celtic FC's 1967 European Cup triumph, when they became the first British club to win Europe's most coveted trophy.

The embroidery on the club badge is in Portuguese and reads 26 May 1967 - Lisbon Lions 40th Anniversary.

The nike logo is embroidered in black.

The back of the collar sports the anniversary words.

On the bottom left of the shirt, a small patch commemorates the famous moment in Estadio Nacional's tunnel before the game as the teams lined up ready to come out, the Celtic team began to sing, 'For it's a grand old team to play for'.

The back of the shirt at the nape of the neck has the words Celtic 1967 and Lisbon.

The sponsor Carling is made of cloth and is glued to the shirt, which makes it more durable than PU heat transferred logos, for example, FC Barcelona's unicef logo.

I picked up this kit having read Kenny Daglish's autobiography where he talked about his days at Celtic FC. Besides the versions offered by Toffs and the Nike heritage shirt, this is probably the best looking retro-ish Celtic FC shirt still available at the point of writing.
