You either love or hate the Tumbler's design. If you're a fan of sleek Batmobiles you'd tend not to like it. If you liked the tank-like vehicle Bats used in The Dark Knight Returns, it's one damn cool ride.
I passed on this time and time again since it's release in '05, for reasons of price and priorities. I saw the 1:35 scale Tumbler from Bandai while chatting with TED (who's quite a ninja these days) today and decided I might as well score it as an interim salve for the long wait that is Hot Toys 1:6 Batmobile.
Of all places I picked it up in the shopping centre below Wife's office. The box and price wasn't anywhere near decent, but I wasn't going to miss out on this for the umpteenth time.

The Tumbler is attached to the brown base via 4 screws. Pix are taken with the base as I do not have the appropriate screwdriver at the moment.

There's quite a bit of diecast used in this vehicle. I like the finish on the vehicle's body and of course, the details.

The sad thing about this vehicle is that the roof cannot fully retract like Hot Toys' version. If you know otherwise, do let me know as the roof is plastic and feels abit fragile and this seems to be the extent of it's movement.

The reason why a fully retractable roof for access to the cockpit would be cool for me is that I believe Takara Microman Batman Begins could very well fit into it, if you remove his overly large cape. As such, he's limited to poses that entail emerging out of the cockpit or standing next to the Tumbler.

Ultimately, it looks like a damn fine display piece of the shelf and it may very well be the only Batmobile in my collection that gets displayed as I still haven't figured out how and where to fit Hot Toys 1:6 Batmobile when it arrives.

I remembered you saying that you passed this at $35! Did you managed to get this around that price range?
