1:6 Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece The Joker Review

I picked up this toy sometime back and finally got the chance to take more pix and talk abit about it.

Sculpted by Yulli, this figure doesn't bear a striking likeness to Heath Ledger and she tells us why in this interview.

Though this is the case, I don't mind it as an interpretation of The Joker from the movie, as I was fine with the generic looking Superman that Hot Toys released.
In terms of accessories, this figure is rather lightweight, but it comes with just about enough to pull off significant poses from the movie.

I didn't remove the plastic sheets that hold the cards and cash together, as I know I tend to misplace them if they're scattered around.
The body used is an Asian Hot Toys True Type, and you can see the poses it can achieve in this post.

The highlight of this figure for me is the costume, in terms of the detailing and the tailoring. Unlike the DC Direct version, the clothes do not add heft to the figure. This is quite something, considering he is wearing a shirt, vest, jacket and trench coat.

While the head sculpt of this figure needs improvement, and has been addressed with the Bank Robber Joker, it is a good representation of The Joker from The Dark Knight. However, you might want to ride your luck and speculate whether Hot Toys will pull off a second version of this figure that incorporate all costumes and head sculpts from the movie.
Do check out pix of Hot Toys Batman (Original Costume) here...
