1:6 Hot Toys Hot Angel She Predator Machiko

I've avoided Hot Toys Predator figures for a long-time, not cos they're not good, but rather they look mighty fine and back-collecting them would be hell. Until now, that is.
This isn't your usual Predator figure, which explains why she doesn't look fugly when the mask comes off. It's the first figure in Hot Toys Hot Angel line, where they come up with original female figures with highly-detailed costumes and accessories.
When preview pix of this figure's headsculpt came out, collectors were divided about whether she resembled Angeline Jolie or looked more like Natalie Portman. Much as Mrs Pitt rocks my boat, I feel the headsculpt leans more towards Portman.

I'll be going through how I kitted her up in the post, as there already are excellent photos of her in dynamic poses/reviews over at OSW.
Her shoulder armour and forearm armour go on easily.

There are two springs that need to be attached to the chest and left shoulder armour.

Attaching the sword's scabbard to the chain at her back was quite frustrating for me. To do so, you should attach the metal rings on the sheath to the metal chain. I was unable to do so after half an hour, due to fear of damaging the plastic on the scabbard and undainty fingers.
I ended up using thread to link the scabbard to the chain.
I also left out attaching her wrist blades to her armour, as the cotton strings that came with it refused to go into the holes.
Thankfully, her neck pieces go on easily, just by popping her head out then placing the items on.
An armour/weapon piece needs to be attached to the back of her armour...

... along with her spear.

I found the best way to get her alien head shield on was to first remove her left hand from the wrist post, attach the armour to her left hand forearm armour, have her left hand hold the shield grip, then sliding the forearm through the forearm armour and connecting it with the left hand.
Almost ready...

And on comes the mask.

I really like the design and overall package of this figure, despite being unable to fit on a few bits of the armour. Highly recommended if you're a Predator fan or appreciate highly-detailed and finely designed female figures.

you can try using those stuff that people use to thread the string thru a needle head...

but maybe to the Preds it might be a different story...
