1:6 The Dark Knight's Supporting Cast

Was telling TED after watching the movie that the wide variety of sixth scale figures out there allows you to form the supporting cast from TDK.

Bank Manager
It was through either great foresight or luck that Saturday Toys recently released this figure. Ether way it's great for us collectors. William Fitchner played the bank manager with balls and a shotgun.

Hong Kong SDU
Read more about the Hong Kong Special Duties Unit here. They're more effective than portrayed in the movie.

SWAT
The Special Weapons & Tactics guys got quite a beating from Bats in the movie, but I guess it was an honour.

US Army Figure
They did a great job of upholding democracy on the bomb-rigged ship.

Potential bashes I can think of would include:

Biker Bruce Wayne
I would use a suitably designed/coloured NewRay bike as seen in the pix. Getting the rider's helmet would be a bit of a task for me though.

Fave Scene in Movie
It would involve the Hot Toys Black Body and Toysoldier Menswear Suit...

...and a pencil from the Expertoys Tools Set.

Can't wait for the Hot Toys Joker figure to initiate the sequence which ends with something like this.

Fun.

  1. Shaun says:

    noted with thanks.

  1. Saturday Toys did a fabulous job with that William Fitchner likeness. What character did their figure represent? It's not originally from The Dark Knight, is it?

  1. Shaun says:

hi Ted, its supposed to resemble Alex Mahone from Prison Break

hey chiang, thanks for regularly checking out my site. Figures are great but don't know about the humour though. :) Do give me a headsup when you find the appropriate weapons for both the bank manager and joker? Thanks. :)

  1. Chiang says:

To anyone who has gotten the batman original costume, did the articulation improve? I already saw the fig inside the box; aside from the improve art of the box (but with 5 twisties!), and the realistic batman and bruce headsculpts, I do not know about the articulation? Anyone who could shed light on this?

Oh yeah, he still looks fat like the first version from Hottoys.

  1. Chiang says:

To Shaun: Thx !! I hope your bats figures arrive soon!

To M: The articulation improved alot this time round... and what do you mean he looks fat?!?!? Batman in the movie is supposed to look BULK and HUGE!! While the last batman figure from them looks pretty fatman, this time is much better. If you like a comic-streamlined-beauty jap version just go for takara. For me, I like more realistic figures for the movieline... hope this helps!

  1. m says:

    Thanks chiang!

Yeah, I got to agree on you, Batman in the movie looks kinda bulky. I already have the Takara, which is bit slim. On the otherhand, my Hottoys BB (the earlier version)is really fat. When I checked the Batman Original Costume from the box... size wise, he still looks like the first version... but it was probably because I was not able to hold it.

I'll definitely get it... assuming my retailer will re-stock tomorrow. Thanks again.
