The main reason why Mattel's 2002 Masters of the Universe toyline died was the endless renditions of He-Man and Skeletor. This version of He-Man, geared up to take on the Snake Men, was actually a welcome addition to the legion of variants.

  1. The original He-Man line died out for the same reasons. Once they reached the point of ridiculous gimmickery that was Skeletor with some leech-like creature on his back that squirted water, you could tell it was close to the end of the line for the series.

It's a shame, especially for the more recent He-Man line as all of the figures were excellent. They were just limited by what had gone before.

Man i always wanted that figure sooo much. Cant wait for the new line of MOTu stuf, the SDCC's King Greyskull looks brilliant.
