Bandai SIC Movie Realization Spiderman 3

My first ever SIC purchase, these figures are stylised, like Medicom's. I guess you either love them or hate them, nothing in between. The 80s shoulder pads aren't becoming for a comic book hero. One thing I noted, they aren't light, but are engineered to balance quite well.

Comes with an extra Venom head, which isn't anything worth shouting about.

the eyes look kinda funny though.
    but im still digging it.

  1. hmmm.. thought of getting it from TFH. but wasn't really to impressed by the body proportions.
    the Venon face sucks balls.
    Too much weathering.
But a must have for Spidey collectors.
A point to note about SIC is to be careful with playing too much with it. The limbs have a tendency to go very limp.

Its sweet to have two spideys in one box set. What box sets come with TWO spideys!

yup the venom's add on head is quite ugly.

remember that this is SIC, which means a different interpretation of the characters...

  1. Shin says:

Great pics. The existence of the shoulder pads seems to be for the sole purpose of hiding the ugly shoulder joint (i see shiny silver screw under the shoulder pad)... Other than that, the figures look awesome. I think its the first time SIC figures have articulated fingers. Im skipping these and getting the Unleashed ones if and when they arrive here.

Thanks shin. :) You've got the red unleashed one already? Just saw the pix for the black one and venom as well, looks good so far.

    Hi Shaun, how's it goin?

How much of the figure is die-cast?

  1. Shaun says:

hey imnewhere, I can't really tell, feels like its all plastic to me. Seasoned SIC collectors advise us please.

  1. imnewhere says:

that's cool. I think I got SIC confused with SOC. Anyway, I'm thinking about buying this set of figures, how are the joints on yours?

I agree with you Shaun when you said that the Venom head is ugly, and I don't think it appeared in the movie (on spider-man).

    Great pics as usual Shaun.

  1. Shaun says:

no prob glad to share. :)

For the venom head, maybe if they put a bit more white on the teeth, it might work?

The joint are ok, but as probro
advised, best not to go all crazy posing them.

I stumbled upon this site while looking for S.I.Cs to modify. Now I know which S.I.C to get for mods, so thanks for the pictures up there. :)

Say, how many of the fingers are articulated?

  1. Shaun says:

glad the pix helped clockup-clockover, IIRC only the index and third can articulate (i.e., the web shooting fingers, via a pin joint.

  1. clockup-clockover says:

Heh, web-shooting hands, that'll be a problem for non-Spiderman figure poses, once the mods are through.

I noticed the box shows the Spiderman with a gripped fist. Is that an extra hand, or it's just the the same hand with the articulated fingers twisted inside?

  1. Shaun says:

it's just the the same hand with the articulated fingers twisted inside.

Do share pix of your mod when you're done, clockup-clockover. :)
